APPLICATIONS

From Feature Walls to Full Envelopes.

FlowVeins is engineered for the building envelope — the surfaces that take the weather and carry the design intent. Below are the six application areas where it performs, each with its own set of specification requirements.

APPLICATION TYPES

Where FlowVeins Works.

Six application areas, each with different demands on the cladding. Pick the one closest to your project — or ask us to specify directly for it.

01

Exterior Wall Cladding

Full-envelope cladding for buildings exposed to sun, rain, and seasonal temperature swings. The core FlowVeins application.

02

Outdoor Wall Cladding

Semi-exposed and open-air surfaces — pool surrounds, terraces, garden walls — where moisture and UV load is constant.

03

Exterior Siding

Horizontal and vertical siding systems in the North American sense — board-by-board installation over a framed wall.

04

Rainscreen Cladding

Ventilated rainscreen assemblies where drainage and airflow behind the panel decide how long the wall lasts.

05

Facade Cladding

Architectural facades where the cladding is the design statement — texture, shadow line, and proportion in one system.

06

Commercial Cladding

Retail, hospitality, and office exteriors where fire classification, maintenance access, and supply scale all matter.

WHY IT HOLDS UP OUTDOORS

Every Application, Same Four Questions.

Whichever application you are specifying for, the same things decide whether a cladding lasts. These are the four we test — and the numbers we can show.

01

Does the color survive the sun?

3,000 h accelerated aging, ΔE*ab 2.7, grey scale rating 4 (ASTM G154).

02

Does it take water?

24 h soak: 1.8% water absorption, 0% thickness swelling (ASTM D1037).

03

Does it survive the cold?

28.3 MPa flexural strength after −29°C freeze-thaw cycling (ASTM D7031).

04

What about fire?

EN 13501-1 classification B-s3, d0 — documented for commercial specification.

Data from SGS reports on MexyTech ASA-surface exterior boards (SDHL2407013318HI / SDHL2408014917HI / SDHL250601030601HI / SDHL250200203201HI). Full reports on request.

MATCHING PROFILE TO PROJECT

Which Profile for Which Job?

Two profiles cover the range — the difference is face width, section depth, and how much wall you need to cover per panel.

FV01 exterior wall cladding profile

FV01

Flat design — 178 × 15 mm

Best where linear detail and tighter rhythm matter.

  • Residential facades
  • Feature walls & soffits
  • Garden and boundary walls
FV01 Specifications
FV02 exterior wall cladding profile

FV02

Siding design — 223 × 25 mm

Best for larger surfaces and higher load exposure.

  • Commercial exteriors
  • Full building envelopes
  • Rainscreen & ventilated walls

COLOR GUIDES

Choosing a Tone for the Application.

Color behaves differently on a sunlit facade than it does on a shaded feature wall. Each guide covers one tone in depth.
